Detective Ferenz Kovacs is in charge of a murder investigation in Budapest in Rubber Kiss. The corpse belongs to a stunning Romanian woman who had previously reported the theft of a very valuable diamond, which was a present from her husband. He uncovers a number of suspicious activities, including the Mafia, gun and jewel running, as he follows the trail to Australia.
